Kamala J. Burks is a successful Account Executive with Alabama Media Group, the parent company of Birmingham News, AL.com and Birmingham magazine. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama and since then, has a long-demonstrated history of working in the marketing and advertising industry. She is a strong marketing professional with over 17 years of experience in developing successful print and digital advertising strategies.
Besides her rewarding career with Alabama Media Group, Ms. Burks serves her community extensively through several organizations as well as through her local church. She served with Footprints Ministry’s Birmingham chapter; a ministry created to address the unique needs of families with children in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). She also serves on several ministries at her church including their Prison Ministry and their Lovelady Ministry. Which is why Khairi and Little Angels’ Memorial is a perfect match.

LaSheena Davis, has a fulltime job and is also a fulltime mother too an outgoing son Kyrese. She studied at Virginia College in Physical Therapy. My passion for this organization is deep due to, too many family and friends losing their children. I pay my involvement takes me and the organization to higher opportunities.

Demetria Barlow is the Owner and Chief Design Officer of Fresh Focus LLC, a boutique graphics art agency; as well as, Restoration Tees and custom apparel company. Through these business ventures, she fuels her passion for creativity and expression by working with individuals, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations to meet their unique creative communications needs. Demetria is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority and a distinguished graduate of Tennessee State University. As a dedicated member of The Rock City Church, she serves as a key administrator for the church’s Experience Department. Demetria is a proud mother of two delightfully precocious daughters, Ravyn and Carrington. She enjoys singing, cooking, and dancing. Khairi and Little Angels’ Memorial is also dear to her heart.

Pattric Barnett is the Account Manager at Insighters, Inc (formally Accounting and Business Consultants, Inc), a consulting and accounting firm located in Avondale are of Birmingham, Alabama and has been with the company for 12 years. He is a graduate of University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he received a BS in Accounting. Pattric has extensive experience in bookkeeping and financial statement analysis for nonprofits as well as payroll and tax preparation. The purpose of KLA Memorial is near and dear to Pattric. Having gone through the situation, he can relate to all of the people the organization seeks out to help. Born and raised in Birmingham, Pattric is happily married and he and his wife of 12 years, April, have two daughters – Jillian and Caylin. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, traveling, listening to music and going to the gym. He enjoys helping people pursue their passions and provides assistance wherever he can.
Pastor Korey Anderson
My name is Korie J. Anderson, I’m blessed to serve as chaplain for KLA. I’m a native of Bessemer, and a former Marine. Currently, I’m a licensed Life Insurance Agent, Licensed Funeral Director for over 13 years I have served as Senior Pastor of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, West Blocton. It is my goal as chaplain to provide spiritual counseling and supplication to help all that come seeking to be help...May God Bless & Keep You!

Hello....my name is VaMeisha Carmichael and I’m the Event Coordinator for KLAM! I enjoy reading, decorating, and spending time with my family! I’ve been married to the love of my life Boosha for 13yrs. We have four beautiful children: Justin 17yrs, Skyler 9yrs, Autumn 5yrs, and August 1 1/2!!! I’m so grateful to have them and love having a big family. I have a B.S. degree in Early childhood/Elementary education and have taught both kindergarten/1st grade. This organization is dear to my heart because Tomeka and I were pregnant together and we had so many plans for our babies to grow up with each other. I’m sadden by all that transpired during her pregnancy. I hope that KLAM touch lives in a positive way and brings awareness to the unknown some moms may experience while expecting.

Tonya is an enthusiastic and innovative professional with extensive experience in event management, administrative, and human resources. She is passionate about event planning and will tap into her knowledge of event planning to develop, coordinate and manage meetings, workshops, seminars, networking events, and cooperated events.
Tonya Believes in giving back to the community and non-profit organizations hold a special place in her heart. Tonya is involved in different Associations that will impower communities and change lives which is why she is a part of Khairi and Little Angels’ Memorial.
Tonya has an associate degree from the Art Institutes in Fashion and Retail Marketing. She is married and is the mother of four children. She has a great relationship with her children supporting them in every aspects of life. Tonya also is a member of Rising Star Baptist Church and overseas the dance ministry. Tonya has a quote that she stands by that states Grant me the strength to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
