The infant mortality and maternal rates in the U.S. are alarmingly high. Over 700 mothers and 21,000+ infants die each year due to a lack of education for families. This crisis has taken an abundant amount of lives which is why our laws and policies should be changed to protect the unborn.A statement made by the CDC confirmed that over 80% of infant deaths are preventable.

This crisis is taking to many mothers of color lives, and change must come. Laws, policies, and more have to change. A known fact is over 80% of these deaths are preventable. Change must come sooner than later.

Volunteerism and Internship
We welcome individuals of all ages within the community to serve as ambassadors for the prevention of infant and maternal mortality. We encourage students to interact with our organization’s support group to learn more about what we do. We are dedicated to providing assistance to interning students, majoring in any mental health profession. We strongly encourage you to join our team.

It is reported that Alabama has the nation’s third highest maternal death rate. It is reported that each year, nearly 40 new mothers in the state die within one year after delivery, per staff at Alabama Political Reporter (APR)

The hashtag #40nomore has been adopted to support this campaign because we are saying 40 no more. Education, resources and awareness are key components to reducing the infant and maternal mortality rate. By supporting this campaign, you are helping to save a mother and baby’s life.
